In NH Chronicle: Women Artists in Exeter

The paintings of Avery Art of Exeter, NH featured in NH Chronicle, March 2026

I was recently featured in NH Chronicle, highlighting a group of women artists shaping the creative landscape here in Exeter.

The piece explores the energy and momentum of the local arts community, and the ways in which artists are building meaningful, independent practices while staying deeply connected to place. Exeter has become a quiet center for creative work, and it’s been a privilege to be part of that rhythm alongside so many thoughtful, talented women.

In the segment, I shared a glimpse into my studio and process, along with the work itself. My paintings are rooted in nature and movement, often exploring color, texture, and a sense of atmosphere. They’re meant to be lived with—to shift and reveal themselves over time.

Being included in this story felt less like a spotlight and more like a reflection of the collective. There’s something meaningful about building a creative life in a place where people are paying attention to each other’s work, supporting it, and helping it grow.
